Grifco has been selected as the commercial garage door opener partner at Wavelength Cronulla – the new 10-storey luxury residential apartments in Sydney’s south.
The apartments by Iridium Developments, in conjunction with Architecture Urbaneia come in 1, 2, 3 bedroom and penthouse layouts in the heart of South Cronulla.
The project incorporates ground-level non-residential units and nine levels of residential, comprising 64 apartments overlooking Cronulla Park and Beach to the east and Port Hacking to the west.
The new luxury mixed-use development features two levels of basementparking offering 180 car spaces, operated by the Grifco S-Drive.
The challenge
In a development which sets a new benchmark of high-quality, innovative design, the brief called for a carpark entry system that not only suited the aesthetic of the property but had the capability to seamlessly integrate into the building access control system. It was also imperative that the chosen system would consistently operate safely, efficiently, quietly and provide long-term reliability.
With 180 car park spaces accessible 24 hours a day, the chosen access system would need to meet the needs of both the residents and businesses.
The access system also needs to be fully compliant, meeting the requirements of AS/NZS 60335.2.103 and be backed by an industry-leading local customer service and support network.
The solution
Grifco’s sectional door operator, the S-Drive, the industry-leading operator for High-Cycle Sectional Doors, was handpicked by the developers as the commercial garage door opener. This was based on the S-Drive’s premium quality, reliability, local design and manufacturing, and exceptional safety capabilities.
The Grifco S-Drive, coupled with the high cycle sectional door, is the only vehicle entry and exit point into the two-level carpark. It seamlessly integrates into the Building Access Control System with fob access for residents, and an automatic exit system connected.
